Pigging system
To ensure that the pipes are completely emptied, a pig is used to clean the pipes. This is pushed through a pipe to press out the pipe contents. This results in annual savings of millions of liters of drinking water and cleaning chemicals.
Osmosis system
We only use fully demineralized water to manufacture our products. This is produced by our in-house osmosis plant. Around 80 liters of demineralized water can be obtained from 100 liters of tap water, 20 liters flow back into the wastewater as salt concentrate.
Wastewater treatment
In our wastewater treatment system, a combination of chemical-physical and biological wastewater treatment ensures the efficient reduction of organic compounds in in-house wastewater, thus helping to reduce the burden on the sewer network and the municipal sewage treatment plant. The installed system requires up to 45 percent less energy than systems of a comparable size. Before the wastewater is freed of pollutants with the help of microorganisms, a mechanical pre-treatment is carried out first. This is followed by emulsion splitting in the first treatment stage with a subsequent precipitation/flocculation stage. The resulting sludge is separated by flotation. The pre-treated wastewater is then temporarily stored in a mixing and equalization tank for comparison.
